What is yoga Bikram style?

Bikram yoga has different names. It is perhaps most popularly known as hot yoga. They call it the “hot” yoga because students of this style practice their poses in a room with very high temperatures. These temperatures can range from ninety to one hundred and five degrees.

Why is it called Bikram yoga?

The style was created in the 1970’s by Bikram Choudhury, an Indian yoga master who resides in Beverly Hills, California. He was the original person to take hatha yoga poses and specifically construct a routine to be performed in hot temperatures. He learned yoga from Bishnu Ghosh.

Yoga Bag

Why do you need a yoga bag? A yoga bag is extremely handy. It is as simple as that. If you practice yoga on a regular basis, just think about how many times you carry your mat around.

I teach classes regularly and carry my mat all the time. However, when I am getting to class, I usually ride my bike as I live fairly close. There is no way I would be able to take my mat with me without my yoga bag. What am I going to do with it? Can I stuff it in a backpack or a duffel bag? I did for a long time. What I found out is that I went through mats really fast. By lugging my mat around in something that was not designed to hold it, my mats wore out from all of the abuse.
